We're currently looking for a Finance Executive to join our team on a full-time basis, although we are open to considering a part-time arrangement of 30 hours per week between Monday and Friday.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial records and reports.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue improvements.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against the budget and prepare variance reports.
- Provide insights and recommendations for budget adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s internal financial policies and controls.
- Help implement financial controls to safeguard company assets and maintain accurate records.
- Oversee the reconciliation of key accounts, including bank and intercompany accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable entries.
- Assist in managing the company's cash flow and liquidity.
- Monitor bank balances, fund transfers, and payments to ensure liquidity requirements are met.
- Assist in the preparation of cash flow reports and forecast cash needs.
- Continuously review financial processes and systems for efficiency improvements.
- Support the implementation of new financial systems or software upgrades.
- Identify areas of improvement in financial reporting and data analysis practices.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as HR, operations, and sales to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Attend and participate in finance team meetings, offering ideas for improved financial strategies.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Be a qualified accountant or in the final stages of obtaining their accounting certification.
- Have around 1 year of experience in finance, accounting or related fields.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting would be considered an asset.
